Extra Large Clive Brooker Deep Emerald Ikebana Dish
This is a stunning triangular, English studio pottery, Ikebana dish by the king of English flower arranging potters Clive Brooker.
This is unusual for its very large size but also for the beautiful deep emerald green glaze (the vast majority of his work is a soft turquoise glaze as seen in the final picture).
The inside of the dish and the legs are glazed green and the outside of the main body is a very dark brown glaze over his usual contrasting, strongly textured clay.
This is a really unusual, but useful dish.

No cracks, no crazing.
There are small chips scattered round the top of the dish, I think these are where the dark glaze on the outside has got knocked off where it was a little thick through wear, there are also small chips on two of the corners. I always leave any damage untouched so that you can decide how to resolve it. If it was mine I would use a light dusting with a dark brown eyeshadow or fill them in with a sharpie of the right colour to make these fade away.
Chip under the base of one foot.
