This is a fabulous genuine press moulded Fulham Pottery Constance Spry Vase. It is marked with the slightly later “Designed by Constance Spry ” impressed mark and has the slightly later clear interior glaze.

It had been painted silver at some stage. It looks as if it was painted when it was new and has only been painted once. We have carefully removed the paint with an eco friendly stripper. Constance Spry encouraged owners to paint their vases to suit to setting they were working in. Interestingly there was one silver painted vase at the Constance Spry Exhibition at The Garden Museum in 2021 and one Spry expert bought several from Winkfield Place where her school was based. Perhaps they have come from the same Spry event?

This is a superb vase in a very sought after design, a perfect addition to any Constance Spry collection.
