Large HJ Wood White Lustre and Gilt Mantle Vase (1)
This is a very pretty irridescent lustre highlighted with gilt handles and a gilt top line. Made by HJ Wood in Stoke on Trent probably in the 1950s

Tiny chip at the top of the crack on the top rim, large crack down one side and along the base, star shaped crack lines on the exterior of the base which don’t go through to the interior so glaze cracks only, crazing, marks to interior from mechanics. This makes a great display vase but would need the crack stablised with epoxy resin to be able to use it without a lining.
There is a normal amount of wear to the gilt on the handles and the top rim. There is a small glaze flaw on one side as shown in the last photo.
